Doesn’t Anybody Care About Brett Cecil?

Red Sox fans can be a selfish, cold-hearted bunch, wildly cheering other people’s tragic misfortunes.

First of all, the poor young fella has always had self-image problems because he’s named Cecil, even if it is his last name.

Now he not only gives up Pap’s first dinger, but four in one heartbreaking inning, and two to Tek? Thank God it wasn’t Cecil who gave up that triple to Rocco Baldelli! Given the tragic end to poor Lucy Gordon, let’s hope the Jays are keeping a very close eye on Mr. Brett Cecil.

And let’s all pray that the next time poor Mr. Cecil pitches against the Sox he doesn’t give up a final-straw home run to George Kottaras!!!
